DEVOLVED To Begin Work On 'Automation 002'

October 9, 2002

Australia's DEVOLVED will shortly begin demoing material for the Automation 002 EP, due in early 2003. According to drummer John Sankey, "the new material we have so far is absolutely the craziest we have written. 002 is going to be more chaotic and intense than anything we have done to date. DEVOLVED is only becoming more extreme!"

In other news, DEVOLVED guitarist/ vocalist Brett Noordin will be back in hospital for further X-rays and scans on his injured arm over the next few days. The condition of Brett's arm injury, which he suffered in a car accident last month, has worsened due to the constant movement by playing guitar on the band's national tour. It was advised before the tour that Brett not perform at all, but he made it very clear that was not an option and it would not stop him from being on stage each night. The band "are confident he will make a full recovery after further examinations and physiotherapy," according to a message posted on their official web site. Anyone wanting to send their best wishes can contact Brett and the DEVOLVED members at: [email protected]
